Arrival & Zhongshan Road
Your guide and private driver meet you at Xiamen airport or rail station (arrival pickup arrangements confirmed in the written proposal) and transfer you to your hotel to check in and sign your written tour contract. In the evening, stroll Zhongshan Road, Xiamen's liveliest heritage shopping street, and taste the city's classic street snacks, hand-picked by your guide.
Xiamen University, Nanputuo & Gulangyu
Xiamen University visits require each guest to use the university's official visitor-reservation channel and are subject to limited places; travel agencies cannot make group reservations. If a visit is unavailable, enjoy the coast and Baicheng Beach outside the campus instead. Nanputuo Temple arrangements are confirmed before travel. Ferry across to Gulangyu, the car-free UNESCO island known as the "Garden on the Sea" — international colonial architecture, the Yuyuan garden, the island's prettiest corner, Gangzai beach and the Longtou Road snack street.
Zengcuo'an, Ring Road & Jimei
Wander Zengcuo'an, China's most creative old fishing village, then follow the palm-lined Island Ring Road with time to forage the tidal flats. Finish at Jimei School Village, the fairy-tale Tan Kah Kee campus by the dragon-boat lake.
Sailing on the strait
A morning out under sail on the strait — raise and trim the sails, then forage the shallows for crabs and shells — before your onward transfer.
